Not all our patients ask questions about the implant brands, their demands are only related to the Dental Implants. Actually, more than 80% of patients don’t ask about the name of the manufacturer. The other 20% of patients demand a particular brand, usually Nobel or Straumann. Depending on the bone structure of our patients and of course their budgets we use a wide selection of implants. The thing that the patients often ask is Nobel because they are the founder of dental implants and they have a brand that you can answer, but you’ll find that you’ll pay a significant amount only for the brand name.
For example, if you want to buy a Gucci handbag, it can cost £ 1,000, but but if you want to buy a premium, high-quality handbag brand like Hermes, you’ll look at £ 8,000.
Is there a quality difference between the bags except the brand name, logo or preferred brand? Shortly No… Both of them are made of a first class leather in a controlled area and
it lasts for a lifetime. We see, more and more implants have been manufacturing since the first Implant was placed in 1965. Some of the manufacturers have been in the industry for more than 10 years. Therefore you can understand the convenience of the 10-year warranty. However, it cannot be expected 10 years warranty from an Implant company that has been operating only for 2 years. The big Implant companies are now buying smaller Implant companies and this can confuse the patient. For instance, Nobel Biocare whose main brand is manufactured in Germany bought Alpha Bio and the brand name is Nobel Alpha Bio.. This is one of the best example of that. Alpha Bio Implants are still being manufactured in Israel and no significant relationship between the quality of the two Implants. Alpha Bio Implants are a bit cheaper and many patients are informed that they have a real Nobel Implant at a lower cost.
Most patients who do some research know that implants are titanium but there are still questions to be asked. The types of the Titanium are different according to their intended use, such as building and medical equipment. Titanium Grade 4 or Grade 5 are used in medicine and must be the only type of Titanium used for Dental Implants Turkey . Unfortunately, the cheap low quality implants aren’t always the case. I also saw that Dental patients were offered Titanium plated Implants at ridiculously low prices! Before you start a clinic, you must ask some relevant questions to the clinic, if they are professional it will be pleasure for them to answer your questions.
Another narrative sign is that the price of the implant increases according to the warranty period you want. For instance, several dental companies are available in London or Eastern Europe that facilitate treatments with a tiered pricing structure based on the warranty length you choose for the same Implant brand. £350 for a 5 year guarantee, £450 for a 10 year guarantee or £695 for a lifetime guarantee. If manufacturing relies on the quality of its implants, the warranty period is fixed at all costs.
